The bird migration in the Danube Delta has started

As the spring is taking controle the birds started to move. At the last winter count Saturday 14th of March we spotted a lot of waders in the lagoon area near Vadu and Gridul Lupilor. Species observed that day - Great Black-headed Gull, Spotted Redshank, Redshank, Avocet, Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew, Hoopoe, White-tailed Eagle and Long-legged Buzzard.

Many other birds where recorded that day. The Red-breasted Geese are almost gone and we couldn't find any.

This is a good time to come for birdwatching at the edge of the Danube Delta's lagoons.

Check out a couple of pictures I took during that day.
